Birthdays are special days. You can make a child’s birthday even more special by honoring them in a unique way that will last for years.
As you know, the ever-increasing cost of books makes it more challenging to provide the wide variety of books and resources we would like to make available to you. Thus, by enrolling a child in the Library Birthday Book Club, you are helping expand the number of quality books for children to enjoy.
Here’s how it works: as you contribute to the club, a new book is ordered and a permanent bookplate honoring your child is placed inside the book. If the birthday boy or girl is living within the area, he or she is the first person to check out the book. When it is returned, it is placed in the appropriate collection for others to check out and enjoy, and it becomes a permanent part of the library’s special collection. If the birthday honoree resides outside of the Southwestern area, we will mail a card stating that a book has been given in his or her honor. We will also invite the honoree to come see the book the next time he or she is visiting.
Honorariums and memorials are also welcome. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Diem Dennis at 817-202-6521 or ddennis@swau.edu.
Please download and complete the following form, and send it along with your check to Mrs. Diem Dennis at SWAU-Chan Shun Centennial Library. Please make your check out to the SWAU-CSCL Special Collections. Thank you.
