InterLibrary Loan

Materials not owned by Chan Shun Centennial Library may be available from other libraries. SWAU students, faculty, and staff may request material through the library's InterLibrary Loan Service (ILL). Materials take 1 to 3 weeks to arrive at SWAU.

Some libraries charge fees for lending their resources. Please indicate whether you are willing to pay the loan fees if we are unable to find a library who will lend for free. We have a small fund that supports a limited number of student requests for research materials each year. Request early.

Books

We will request books needed for your research projects. Please check the Chan Shun Centennial Library catalog first to be sure that we do not have the book. You may submit your request on paper to the Library staff at the Circulation/Information Desk, or you maysubmit your request electronically, using the Book Request Form.

Dissertations, theses, and textbooks are not available through ILL.

Articles

Before you submit an ILL request, please verify that SWAU does not own the journal in print or have access to the journal electronically. The current journals list will tell you what journals SWAU owns and what journals we can access electronically. Photocopies of journal articles will be sent to you electronically or by surface mail, or you may pick them up at the Circulation Desk at the Library.

You may submit your request on paper to the Library staff at the Circualtion/Information Desk, or you may submit you request electronically, using the Article Request Form.

Copyright law restricts the number of articles SWAU may request from the same journal each year. Please use many different journals to support your research.
