How can I access library resources from home?

For off-campus access to our databases use your Portal account to log in.

Do you have the article I need?

If you know the journal, magazine or newspaper that published it, you could use our full-text periodicals list to find it. Otherwise try a relevant database.

Where can I find items on reserve?

Request them at the front desk. It is possible to look up materials on reserve by department, course and/or instructor.

When is the Library open?

We have different schedules for the regular semesters and the off-seasons. Check our hours and calendar to learn about them.

How do I get an item from another library?

You can request them through us or we can issue you a card so you can borrow materials from other Texshare libraries, which might be faster.

How do I borrow or renew an item, or pay a fee?

Bring items you wish to borrow or renew to the front desk, where you can pay fees too. You can also renew items online. For more information consult our policies on access, loans, and fees or contact our Access Services Coordinator at 817-202-6480 or library@swau.edu.

How do I get to a librarian?

Librarians are happy to help you. If you have a question, email it to library@swau.edu or post it on the library's Facebook page. Contact information for all librarians is available in the staff directory.

Do you have the unpublished writings of Ellen White?

We have copies of unpublished letters and other manuscripts by Ellen White and other Adventist pioneers. For information on how to view them emails us at heritage@swau.edu.

How do I reserve a study room?

Fill out the form on the reserve a facility page.

How do I figure out where things are in the library?

See the library's floor plans to find their physical location in the building.
