Services for Distance Education
Study by Yourself or in Groups
If you are located near campus, take advantage of the library's convenient hours and spaces for quiet study and group work. Desktop computers on the first floor, a computer classroom, laptops, tablets, wireless Internet connection and photocopiers are also available. See the floor plans to locate the best place for your intended use of the facility. We encourage you to reserve facilities for group work.
Find Library Resources
Use the Library Catalog to find books, audio and video resources in our collection. We also subscribe to journals and databases so you can have access to the best content both in print and electronically. If we do not have what you are looking for, please contact a staff member so we can get it for you.
Ask a librarian if you need help conducting research. We can guide you in the process of choosing a topic, and finding, evaluating and citing sources. You can also use our online tutorials to guide you.
Borrow Books, and Other Materials
All distance education students are automatically granted borrowing privileges. Just call us at 817-202-6242 or Access Services Coordinator Joseph Alway to check out materials. From the date we mail out something to you, you have one week in addition the regular loan periods to return items. You can also request materials from other libraries or, if you live in Texas, we can issue you a card so you can borrow from other Texas libraries directly. Sign in to your account to see what items you have taken on loan and to renew them.
