Library Services for Faculty
Use the Facility
The library has spaces where you can conduct your research, teach, and hold meetings. A computer classroom, laptops, tablets, wireless Internet connection and photocopiers are also available. The building is open during convenient hours. See the floor plans to locate the best place for your intended use of the facility. We encourage you to reserve facilities for group work.
Find Resources for Teaching and Research
Use the Library Catalog to search for materials in the collection and see the floor plans to find their physical location in the building. We also subscribe to journals and databases so you can have access to the best content both in print and electronically. Ask a librarian if you need help locating or citing sources.
Preview, Request and Reserve Resources
Whether you preview resources under review, request a resource or make a recommendation, we welcome your input in building the collection and improving library services. You can also place materials on reserve to make sure they remain in the building for your students.
Instruction and Support for Your Students
Please contact your library liaison to request library support for courses you teach. We can prepare in-class presentations or video tutorials to help your students find, evaluate and use resources relevant to a particular course or project. You can also send your students over to your library liaison so they can get one-on-one assistance at whatever stage of a project they might be.
Borrow Books, and Other Materials
All faculty and staff are automatically granted borrowing privileges. Just show your ID card at the front desk to check out materials. See the library's policy to learn about loan periods. You can also request materials from other libraries or we can issue you a card so you can borrow from other libraries directly. Sign in to your account to see what items you have taken on loan and to renew them.
