RN to BS Resources

This guide provides information and resources relevant to RN to BS program students.

Hello RN to BS students!

My name is Lance Millam, and I am the liaison for the nursing department here at the Chan Shun Centennial Library.  I am the person you can contact if you need any help understanding what resources the library provides, if you need help finding research materials, or if you need a little assistance figuring out how to format your references.  My contact information should always be available on the left-hand side of this guide.  You can email, call, or visit my office in person.  We can meet through Zoom as well.

The Nursing Resources tab will show you all of the nursing related databases that the library subscribes to.  The most popular will be listed first.

The Research Tutorials tab will show you videos explaining research skills and how to best use the resources the library provides.  The first set of videos are part of a series of YouTube videos I created.  I have a couple of the most directly useful videos on that page, but there are more on our YouTube page that may be helpful to you as well.  The second set of videos come directly from the providers of some of our databases and how you how to use those databases specifically.

The APA Style tab will show you resources on how to format your papers, citations, and references in the correct format for your nursing classes here at SWAU.

The NCLEX and TEAS tab provides information on how to prepare for these nursing exams.

The Professional Nursing tab has links to several professional nursing organizations

The Getting Help tab shows you how to get help for each step of the research and paper-writing process.
