Seedfolks

FLEISCHMAN, PAUL

A young girl who lost her father, a taxi driver, a man fighting for love, a determined woman, and many others come together and plant a garden.

Gibb Street was once a place where low income immigrants would live until they saved enough money to move away. Since then Gibb Street has been lonely and left with only two familiar faces. Until a young girl named Kim begins to plant lima beans. After her more people came to plant various seeds and flowers which had specific meaning to each individual, and their personal life. With no talking and just gardening many of them felt like a community, and eventually came together as family.

I recommend this book to those who enjoy a good book about different people from different backgrounds who come together and create a garden. This book has a lot to offer, it lets you see that there is more to this world. It can also be refreshing to the mind that we are blessed with a world of gracious and warm hearts.
