The scarlet letter

Having started many a great literature volume with anticipation only to get lost in inaccessible language or complicated plots, I found the "no-fear" version of The Scarlet Letter quite manageable.

Hester Prynne's combination of flaws and dignity stand in stark contrast with the double standards of her detractors. Life could be better if we all were less judgmental and more compassionate.
