The mission of the Adventist Heritage Center is to acquire, organize, preserve, and make available materials relating to the history and development of Southwestern Adventist University and the Seventh-day Adventist Church, especially in Texas and the Southwest, and materials of local and regional interest, including Johnson County and North Central Texas.
The Rust-Carter Archive is dedicated to preserving the records of Seventh-day Adventism in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas and comprises donated collections from individuals and organizations that contain photographs, documents, letters, and memorabilia.
The Institutional Archives house unpublished, non-current records of administrative, legal, or fiscal importance to the university, such as official correspondence, committee and board of trustee meeting minutes, reports, bulletins, and other similar documents.
The Southwest Local and Regional Archive comprises materials of local and regional interest not specifically related to Southwestern Adventist University or the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The Global Interest Archive contains materials non-specific to the Seventh-day Adventist Church or Southwestern Adventist University, but that are of doctrinal interest on topics such as the health message.
