Advice and resources for SWAUOnline students

SWAU Online

The Library is here to help SWAU online students succeed in their academic careers.

Online Resources

From Our Shelves to Yours

  • We will mail SWAU library books to you (continental US only).  E-mail library@swau.edu with a list of the library books you want; If they are available, we will send them. Students usually have four weeks to return items, from the date we mail them out.  Note that some books (e.g., Reference or Heritage) cannot be checked out.
  • If you are nearby, it can be faster to pick up books in person. Find print books in the library catalog and call the library front desk at (817) 202-6242 or e-mail library@swau.edu to request that they be held for you.  We will hold books for a maximum of one week.

Using Other Libraries

  • We can mail you a TexShare card.  This allows you to walk into most libraries in Texas and check books out from them directly.  E-mail library@swau.edu, and include the address you wish the card to be mailed to. Check the TexShare website for a list of participating institutions.  Contact the library by phone or email and we will mail your TexShare card to you.  Student TexShare cards will expire at the end of the current semester.
