Temporary Service Suspension

As of March 4, 2024, we are changing our interlibrary loan network

Until the new network is up and running, we will NOT be handling any interlibrary loan requests!

We expect the changeover to be complete approximately in mid-April.

Until that time, you may wish to explore our TexShare service (see below) to get items from other libraries.

About Interlibrary Loan

We can borrow materials from other libraries for you.  Please give as much information on the item(s) you need as possible and we will take care of it. You will be notified when your requested item arrives. Please note:

  • Libraries rarely lend textbooks, media, reference sources, or dissertations.
  • Articles in electronic format will be emailed directly to you.
  • Interlibrary loan items usually take an average of 21 days to arrive.  Request early!
  • For copyright reasons, we cannot request more than five articles from the most recent five years of any single journal, total among all users. Please be careful when requesting multiple recent articles.

TexShare

The Library issues TexShare cards to students, faculty, and staff.  These allow you to walk directly into any participating Texas library and borrow material from them.  Please ask for an application form at the front desk.
