Look closely at your assignment and figure out what you will need
Give yourself a rough timeline, and be sure to allow enough time for research. Starting a long assignment the night before it is due is usually sub-optimal and we do not recommend it.
Remember that research is an iterative process: you will search, find some material, and use it, but then find yourself with new questions that need new searches and new answers. This is a normal part of the research process.
